ISR Travels to the CAUSE V FPC
ISR is excited to be traveling to Bellingham Washington next week to conduct the Final Planning Conference for the fifth Canada-US Enhanced Resiliency (CAUSE) Experiment. The CAUSE experiment series is a joint Canada-US initiative developed as part of the Beyond the Border initiative that aims to evaluate the ability of technology and applications to facilitate sharing of resources between cross border communities including shared situational awareness products (voice, data, video) and mutual aid resources (HAZMAT/HUSAR teams and vehicles, ambulances, etc.).
This experiment in particular, will leverage the Public Safety Broadband Network (PSBN) currently in development within Canada and the US (FirstNet) to facilitate seamless cross-border exchange of voice, video and data in support of various emergency management activities. The scenario for this experiment will be driven by widespread geological events emanating from Mt. Baker in Washington State.
