Rowan MorrisLast update: December 2009 Professional SummaryRowan Morris is a specialist in the field of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) defence and emergency response. He joined International Safety Research (ISR) as an Associate in 2008 and has since become a full-time member of the team as a project manager. He has 23 years experience as a Naval Officer, 15 of which was spent as a CBRN Defence Specialist. During this time he was employed as: The CBRN Defence Training Officer for the East Coast Fleet; Senior Staff Officer for CBRN defence equipment and policy at Maritime Forces Atlantic Headquarters; and as a Special CBRN Defence Advisor in the Persian Gulf region in 1998. Mr. Morris also spent 6 years as the Nuclear Emergency Response (NER) Team Leader for Maritime Forces Atlantic. In this capacity he was responsible for policy, equipment, training and operational aspects of the NER Team; leading the team during more than 50 operational periods. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the design and execution of complex CBRNE exercises involving multiple municipal, provincial and federal agencies including his recent experience as the project manager for Exercise Integrated Response 08, two live CBRN exercises held in Vancouver in preparation for the Winter Olympics and assisting in the design and execution of EXERCISE COBALT 09. Mr. Morris is also a certified fire fighter with approximately 10 years experience and is certified to conduct Radon Measurement by the NRPP. | ![]() |
