Joseph ChaputLast update: October 2007 Professional SummaryJoseph Chaput is a graduate of the Nuclear Engineering program (BEng) at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT). Courses as part of the curriculum included nuclear physics, reactor dynamics, nuclear waste management, heat transfer and fluid dynamics. He completed a thesis entitled “Design and Benchmarking of Small Scale Aerosol Particulate Resuspension in Wind and Mechanical Stress Fields’ which included dispersion experiments in Germany. He has been in the Department of National Defence Infantry Reserves and was moved to the Armoured Core from 2001-2007. He interned at Defence Research and Development Canada during the summer of 2006 where he gained experience using live sources, testing a remote radiation detection system and creating testing protocols for the equipment. Currently he is an Analyst at International Safety Research (June 2007 – present) where he is responsible for performing scientific and technical work including the production of technical studies, writing technical reports and providing support to marketing, project management, reporting and presentation work. | ![]() |
