Professional Summary

Joseph Chaput holds a Master of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Engineering, both in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. His MASc thesis specialized in three dimensional modeling of ionizing radiation fields for health physics and engineering applications. He has practical experience in experiments/exercises using live radioactive sources (both sealed and unsealed), controlling remote radiation detection systems and conducting radiological decommissioning surveys. He interned with the Radiological Analysis and Defence Group of Defence Research and Development Canada – Ottawa during his undergraduate studies and he was a military Reservist for Department of National Defence for more than 6 years. Mr. Chaput has been an analyst with ISR since 2007. He is responsible for conducting nuclear safety and physics calculations (using such codes as MCNPX), generating radiation protection planning strategies, managing projects and a host of other scientific and technical engineering work.
