Mr Jean-Pierre (JP) Létourneau is a nuclear engineer with 33 years of experience in the Canadian Nuclear industry. He worked for AECL in senior management positions at the Chalk River Laboratories (CRL) where he played key roles in creating a nuclear programs organization, in licensing activities having interacted with CNSC staff and the Commission on licence renewal and providing support to nuclear facilities such as the NRU and MAPLE reactors.

JP was an authorized shift manager at Gentilly-2, the only operational nuclear power plant in Hydro-Quebec's suite of electrical power plants. JP started his career with Ontario-Hydro at the Nuclear Power Demonstration plant (NPD) where he became authorized as a shift supervisor.

JP' s professional activities include overseas trips to India, Romania, Austria and China. He participated in a WANO Peer Review with a team of international experts and worked with the IAEA. JP is a registered professional engineer.
