Fernando Caparroz

Fernando Caparroz is the Manager of the Policy and Systems Division at ISR. His division's primary focus is the development, implementation, training and regulatory compliance of Management Systems. His responsibilities, originally aimed at servicing the aviation sector, have grown, and his academic and hands-on knowledge and expertise obtained both domestically and abroad, are now supporting other high risk industries such as Defence, Nuclear and Energy from both regulatory and operations perspective.

He is a former naval aviator that contributes over 25 years of progressive experience in Airline Operations, Airport Operations, Security and Design, Safety and Project Management and Policy and Systems development and implementation.

He has chaired and participated in various policy and procedure development groups that included stakeholders such as operators, crown corporations, government regulators, tenants and enforcement agencies tasked with the development of industry guidelines and best practices.
